The owner of the estate, Servác Engel of Engelfluss, commissioned the chateau to be built in 1656, soon after the former fortress was burnt to the ground by the Swedes. It is a two-storey building around a square-shaped courtyard. The path from the square is guarded from a pair of lions standing at the ironwork gate.
