The village of Bedřichov is a picturesque municipality in the Jizera Mountains with a rich glassmaking history, located at an altitude of 707 meters above sea level. It stretches on both sides of the valley of the Rýnovice Nisa River between the towns of Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou.
The first written mention of the village dates back to 1602, when a glassworks stood here. A settlement grew up around it and was named Bedřichov after the estate's owner, Bedřich of Redern.
The village currently has around 360 permanent residents.
There are also numerous recreational properties here, as Bedřichov is an important center for winter sports, especially cross-country skiing
